Nantong exhibits local culture at Grand Canal Culture, Tourism Expo

The fifth Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo recently kicked off in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province.

The three-day expo features exhibitions on cities along the Grand Canal, tourism products with Grand Canal characteristics, intangible cultural heritage, and delicacies.

Nantong set up a booth at the expo to showcase local culture, including blue calico, red wood carving, palm fiber weaving, and banyao kites, and tourist attractions.

The exquisite travel brochures and creative and cultural products on display at Nantong's booth attracted numerous expo-goers.

In addition, counties and districts in Nantong also showcased their local culture with brochures, creative products, promotional videos, and the onsite making of intangible cultural heritage items.

Rugao, a county-level city in Nantong, also set up a booth in the exhibition area for high-speed railway cities in Yangtze River Delta region to introduce the local Wang Family's lanterns, indispensable items for the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival.
