New projects boost industrial development in Rudong

The industrial development of Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has been boosted by the construction of many new projects this year.
In the first three quarters of this year, seven projects were completed in Rudong while the construction of 21 projects worth over 500 million yuan ($69.83 million) had commenced.
The construction of another 28 projects with a total investment of 30.64 billion started in the fourth quarter.
One project is the first phase of the Sinar Mas industrial base in the Yangkou Lingang Industrial Park.
The project, which represents an investment of more than 10 billion yuan, is backed by Gold Hongye Paper Co Ltd and is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year.
Following its completion, the base will have an annual output of 780,000 metric tons of paper for daily use, making it the largest production base of its kind in the world, said Lin Weizhu, vice-general manager of the company.
In addition, three LNG terminals, including the Guoxin LNG terminal, the GCL Huidong LNG terminal and the China Resources Gas LNG terminal, are under construction in Yangkou Port and will expand the LNG handling capacity of Yangkou port.
