Nantong's GDP up 2% in Jan-Sept period

The GDP of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province stood at 868.08 billion yuan ($119.12 billion) in the first nine months of the year, up 2 percent year-on-year, according to local authorities.
The city's value-added industrial output, a gauge of activity in the manufacturing, mining and utilities sectors, grew by 4.6 percent from a year earlier, while in the first half it rose by 2.8 percent from a year earlier.
Fixed-asset investment – a gauge of expenditures on items including infrastructure, property, machinery and equipment – rose by 0.2 percent year-on-year in the first three quarters, while in the first half it declined 2 percent from a year earlier.
The overall per capita disposable income of residents totaled 37,390 yuan, an increase of 5.2 percent year-on-year.
The per capita disposable income of urban residents reached 45,711 yuan and that of rural residents reached 23,162 yuan, year-on-year increases of 4.4 percent and 6.4 percent.
