The Cesi Beihai LNG vessel berthed at the Guanghui Energy LNG distribution and transfer station in the Lyusi Port Area in Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Oct 11, making it the 10th super large LNG vessel to arrive at the port this year.
With a length of 290 meters and a width of 45.6 meters, Cesi Beihai unloaded 72,058 metric tons, or about 163,600 cubic meters, of liquefied natural gas to ensure stable a natural gas supply in the Yangtze River Delta region during the autumn and winter seasons.
The Guanghui Energy LNG distribution and transfer station was put into operation in 2017. It is the second LNG receiving station in Jiangsu province, the 12th in coastal areas of China, and the first LNG receiving station invested by a private enterprise in China.
It currently has an annual LNG turnover capacity of 4.5 million tons, and the turnover capacity is expected to reach 10 million tons by 2025.
After transshipment, the imported LNG products are sold in many provinces and cities in East China and its surrounding areas, supplying gas to the vast regions beyond the main pipe network.
