The opening ceremony of the 2022 Fine Arts Exchange Exhibition of Yangtze River Delta Region was held at Nantong Art Museum, Chongchuan district in Nantong, East China’s Jiangsu province on Aug 26, local media reported.

The exhibition, which will run till Sept 4, features 250 works ranging from traditional Chinese paintings to oil paintings to watercolor artworks and engravings that were created by 250 artists from six cities in Yangtze River Delta region - Wuxi and Nantong of Jiangsu province, Chizhou and Wuhu of Anhui province and Jiaxing of Zhejiang province.

Forty of these works were created by artists from Nantong.

That same day, a forum was held after the ceremony to discuss the development of the arts sector in the Yangtze River Delta region. More than 70 artists attended the forum.

The Fine Arts Exhibition of Yangtze River Delta Region originated as the Fine Arts Exchange Exhibition of Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province, which was first held in 2017.
