A drama summer camp was recently held at Yisen Space in the Cultural Arts Center of Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.
More than 200 children participated in the camp.
Yisen Space is a cultural and sports venue for citizens, and is home to Drama Forest, Nantong's first troupe dedicated to children's plays.
Drama Forest conducts training sessions related to modern drama, music play, and song and dance drama for children between 3-12 years old. Since its establishment, the troupe has created or adapted around 20 children's plays.
Yisen Space will be fully open to the public in October. It will then have a new theater that can sit 500 audiences and host performances such as children's plays, musicals and talk shows.
According to Chen Chen, a staff member at Yisen Space, a theater festival will be launched right after the new theater opens.
