An online conference between Nantong authorities and senior executives of foreign-invested companies was held on March 30, local media reported.
Wang Hui, Party secretary of Nantong, briefed attendees on the city's economic and social development and thanked them for their confidence in Nantong.
Wang said that Nantong, located near Shanghai in the center of the Yangtze River Delta region, is sparing no effort to become an important driver of Jiangsu's high-quality development.
Nantong is a very dynamic city in the YRD region and investors are bullish on its further development, noted Wang.
He added that foreign-invested projects have strong prospects in Nantong, as the city is seeking to create the most favorable business environment by offering efficient administrative services and preferential policies.

Wang also expressed his hopes for increased cooperation with foreign-invested companies.
Senior executives of foreign-invested companies, including Germany-based BASF Group, expressed their thanks to Nantong authorities for their support in carrying out the projects.
They all agreed that Nantong boasts a favorable business environment and strong development prospects, and they are confident in their investments and expect further cooperation with the city.
Participants of the online conference also witnessed the signing of several foreign-invested projects in Nantong.
