Nantong airport to start new flight scheduling

The Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, is set to roll out new flight scheduling from Oct 31 to March 26, 2022.
The Nantong airport has 55 flights to 38 cities and receives more than 800 airplanes per week.
Currently, 12 planes stay overnight at the airport, including five from Shenzhen Airlines, five from Donghai Airlines, one from Kunming Airlines, and one from China Eastern Airlines.
Starting at the end of the month, Nantong airport will launch four daily direct flights to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and another four to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.
The airport will also launch one direct flight to Tongren Fenghuang Airport in Guizhou province. The flight will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from Oct 31.
According to the new flight scheduling, there will be five to six flights from Nantong airport to Beijing, five to Guangzhou, and four to Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Guiyang every day.
In 2020, the passenger throughput of the airport was 2.51 million, ranking 50th nationwide and third in the province, while its freight throughput reached 54,000 metric tons, a year-on-year increase of 27.8 percent.
