The new Lin-gang energy service center was reportedly established on March 16 - to provide a powerful energy engine for the development of the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai.

The center is a full-scale, power-related business service agency in the Lin-gang Special Area.

Plans are now for the operator, utility State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Co, to deploy staff to the center to coordinate handling business with its branches in Pudong and Fengxian districts as well as its VIP management center.

The company will also set up a flexible team for the new energy service center to engage with the Lin-gang Special Area, coordinating and supervising business matters.

Meanwhile, the Lin-gang Special Area, relying on the energy service center, will carry out a full range of energy services. The area will reportedly promote a temporary power leasing service and coordinate support for power supplies for its residents.

The Lin-gang Special Area will further promote distributed energy projects according to regional development needs, improving general energy efficiency and the quality of the energy supply, so as to ensure its provision is secure in the area.
