A business environment services hotline – a phone hotline especially opened for companies resident in the Lin-gang Special Area in East China's Shanghai – went live on Feb 24.

With the new hotline (+86-21-58285500-8051) starting up, enterprises in the area can now voice their opinions and advice on various aspects – including policies, business marketing and financial services.

Zhu Zhisong, executive deputy director of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration, told at a news conference on Feb 24 that the area would further extend a regular communications mechanism between the government and enterprises and improve the service by handling any case just like receiving a complaint - responding to every request and resolving all the difficulties. He further promised that any personnel who failed to resolve a problem would face consequences.

Shanghai is tackling the problem of optimizing its business environment and improving every market entity's sense of well-being. The city held a meeting on Feb 19 about increasing reforms for delegating power, strengthening regulations and improving services to create a first-class business environment.

As for the Lin-gang Special Area - the pilot region of reform in Shanghai - it is believed to be particularly important to promote the implementation of key reforms there faster, to achieve better results.

The Lin-gang Special Area Administration has made an official announcement that the area will strive to become a pilot area for reform, as well as develop a leading business environment which is the best in Shanghai, the most exemplary in China and one of the most influential in the world.
