A foreigner's work permit training activity was held in the talent service hub of the Lin-gang Special Area on Nov 6, according to officials from the special area, which is a newly included part of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone in East China.

They said the first foreigner's work permit independently approved by the Lin-gang Special Area was issued at the event.

The Lin-gang Special Area has undertaken the work of administrative examinations and approvals of work permit for foreigners in China since Nov 1, when the second group of 653 administrative powers at the municipal and district levels in Shanghai was granted to the area.

The special foreigner's work permit was granted to representatives of Shanghai CMA CGM International Ship Management Co Ltd, a subsidiary of leading Chinese shipping group CMA CGM.
