The Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai Microsatellite Engineering Center) Lin-gang Satellite Development Base's North Zone has been completed and put into use. The base's planned total site area is about 16 hectares, and total investment is about 2.2 billion yuan. It will be built in four phases. The first phase is Lin-gang Satellite Development Base's North Zone. The total floor space is 95,000 square meters, including 36,000 sq m of satellite assembly workshops, which can develop 30 to 50 one-ton satellites and over 100 micro/nano-satellites simultaneously.

The first industrial land available after Lin-gang Special Area's establishment was taken by the Gas Turbine Development Base of ENN Energy Power Technology (Shanghai) Co Ltd.

• Investment: 450 million yuan

• Total floor space: 37,360 sq m

• Construction period: about 24 months

The base is for developing serialized gas turbines and industrialized manufacturing of 600-kilowatt and 1.5-megawatt gas turbines. The annual output after it goes into operation will be 1,000 sets.

Construction started in Lin-gang Special Area of the National Major Technological Infrastructure Project "High-Efficiency Low-Carbon Gas Turbine Testing Apparatus" (Pudong New Area, Shanghai) undertaken by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

• Investment: estimated to exceed 650 million yuan

• Construction period: four years

• It has been listed as a major project in Shanghai in 2019.

Lin-gang Special Area finished its first cross-border ship chartering transaction.

The project company set up by SPDB Financial Leasing in Lin-gang Special Area leased two 11,380 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) container carriers.

Lin-gang Special Area International Data Harbor was launched.

It will explore connectivity between industrial data in Lin-gang Special Area and the rest of the country, and gradually explore connectivity between trade data and financial data in Lin-gang Special Area and the rest of the country.
