The third Apricot and Plum Blossom Tourism Festival kicked off in Donggang city, Northeast China's Liaoning province on April 16.
Known as the "National Ecological and Livable Tourism City", Donggang attracts visitors'attention. The superior natural ecological environment is an ideal place in spring. It shows various kinds of flowers blossom, also with fertile fields from the regression plain in the south and lush forests and hilly areas in the north.
There are many attractive activities here, such as the folk music performances, gardens hiking, street culture exhibitions, and the Chef King Competition.
Donggang is known as "the Jiangnan (the region with affluent products and pleasant environment in the south of Yangtze River) in Northern Area". People here can take "flowers and birds watching" in spring, "island vacation" in summer, "gourmet leisure" in autumn, "hot springs enjoyment" in winter. What's interesting is that the different activities in four seasons are all attractive gathering red, yellow, blue, green and white colors. In order to continuously strengthen the development of tourism, Donggang shapes the festival brand of "Travel to Donggang together with Birds and Flowers" to help promote high-quality development.
This year's activities began with the Dagushan Apricot and Plum Blossom Festival. From April to October, Donggang will improve people's awareness of ecological environment protection through pictures and texts, hold excursions and flower appreciation activities and promote Donggang tourism based on characteristic resources such as wetland bird watching, coastal sightseeing, spring flower appreciation, seafood cuisine and rural tourism.
