During the May Day holiday, the Jinshitan tourist resort held a range of activities such as the food festival, K-NIGHT music festival and a series of brilliant performances to attract tourists.
During the holiday, the scenic area received 290,500 visitors, a year-on-year growth of 144.9 percent, a rise of 10.12 percent compared to 2019. Local tourism enterprises made more than 34 million yuan in operation revenue, a year-on-year growth of 577.14 percent, a rise of 48.16 percent compared to 2019. Dahei Mountain tourist area received 16,600 visitors, achieving an operation revenue of 300,000 yuan. Jinshitan Tourism Group also received 52,000 visitors over the holiday period, generating 4.34 million yuan of comprehensive tourism income, double that of 2019.
To better welcome the tourism peak of the May Day holiday, Jinshitan tourist area management committee coordinated with other famous tourist resorts to launch 10 special tourism products. They did this in the hopes of meeting the needs of different tourists and improve the attractiveness of the tourist area. It launched the super-coupon ticket for all tourist spots in Jinshitan tourist area, and the special tourist routes were well received by tourists. These included a two-day trip for lovers, a three-day trip for leisure and entertainment and two-day trip for parents and kids. China Travel Bookstore has settled down in Jinshitan Geological Park, the first one in operation in Northeast China’s scenic areas.
The tourist resort also carried out targeted promotional activities via media and outdoor advertising. To meet the need of residents and tourists taking the bus, with the support of Dalian Transportation Bureau and Dalian Metro Group, services on subway line 3 were increased and the last bus from Jinshitan to Dalian Railway Station was extended until 21:30. Jinshitan transportation company also added six small trains and ten sightseeing buses to relieve pressure on transportation over the holiday.
During the May Day holiday, parts of the scenic resort started selling tickets online , time-slot appointments, limiting the number of tourists and extending hours in response to peak season. The staff of the scenic area did their best in COVID-19 prevention and guaranteeing safety, creating a safe, comfortable and delightful environment for visitors.
