What kinds of applicants are not required to show proof of economic status?

Applicants with any of the following certificates or proof materials are not required to show proof of economic status,for example:

 (1) A certificate of minimum living allowance for urban or rural residents;

 (2)A certificate of extremely poor rural households;

 (3) A certificate of rural households enjoying “five guarantees”;

 (4) Proof that the applicant is receiving social welfare financed by the government or a charity organization;

 (5) A disabled person certificate, or proof issued by the applicant’s local villagers or residents committee showing he or she has no fixed source of income;

 (6) Proof of the applicant living on a pension from the government or from his or her work unit;

 (7) Proof of the applicant living on temporary relief. Migrant workers are exempt from proof of economic status if they are applying for legal aid in lawsuits demanding back wages or compensations for work-related injuries.
