The Judicial bureau in Pudong new area commends individuals and organizations for their high quality legal aid work in the 2014-2015 period. 

August 25 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the legal aid center in Pudong new area. The Local judicial bureau hosted a legal aid consultation event in the area's Shuangyong plaza. 

The bureau commended local lawyers and organizations for their outstanding legal aid work for the 2014-2015 period. Zhu Lingling, Du Hua, Chen Xianfu, Yao Chengxia, Tao Guoping and Cheng Xianlin were named exceptional legal aid lawyers. A total of eight units, including the legal aid work station in Tangzhen town and Shanghai Yongle Law Firm were named excellent legal aid organizations. 

In 1995, Pudong new area was the first to establish a legal aid center to offer free legal help to those in need. More than 30,000 people have benefited every year over the past 20 years. The center handles one fifth of all legal aid cases in Shanghai and has played an important role in maintaining social stability.
