The Hangzhou Legal Aid Service Standards were drafted by the Hangzhou judicial bureau and approved and issued by the Hangzhou quality and technical supervision bureau. They are expected to be in effect on October 31, 2015. The document  consists of seven chapters and 30 sections. It covers consultations, case applications, hearings, approvals and service quality control, and is the first of its kind in China.
