Bosch Innovation Software Development (Wuxi) Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Germany-based Bosch Group in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, experienced a 200 percent year-on-year increase in sales revenue to 140 billion yuan ($20.78 billion) in the first half of 2022, Wuxi Daily reported on Aug 9.
Since it started operating in Wuxi two years ago, Bosch software company's workforce has expanded from less than 100 to over 700.
The company's workforce is expected to exceed 2,000 by 2025 after the third office building covering an area of 3,000 square meters is completed next year, said the company's manager Wang Zhihuang.
Bosch is usually known as a manufacturer, but the group began undergoing digital transformation 10 years ago by supporting the development of innovative technology and software, according to Wang.
The establishment of the Wuxi software subsidiary is an important part of Bosch's digital transformation, Wang added.
The new-generation self-driving system developed by Bosch software company and Bosch's Cross-Domain Computing Solutions division is expected to be put into mass production next year.
The software company also worked with Bosch Powertrain Systems Co Ltd to develop hydrogen fuel cells and an all-in-one control device.
