A total of 210 enterprises located in Wuxi's Huishan district have been recognized as smart manufacturing innovation demonstration enterprises as part of the district's long-term support for industrial internet development.
They were the latest smart manufacturing companies in Huishan to receive honors. For example, Wuxi Angelalign Medical Instrument Co, the first listed orthodontics company in China, became one of the provincial industrial internet benchmarking factories in 2020.
The company's factories produce invisible orthodontics that requires customization. As a result, different production lines are sent instruction to produce individual parts that can be put together to create the whole part.
Located in Wuxi Huishan High-tech Zone, Wuxi WKW Automotive Parts Co owns 14 smart manufacturing plants, covering an average of 8,000 square meters. Its 126 robots are issued production instructions by the master control workshop. A small number of workers in the plants then check and pack these products when they are completed.
The company was recognized as a provincial industrial internet benchmarking factory in 2019, becoming the fifth company to receive this designation in Huishan district and the 17th in Wuxi.
Wuxi JHT Manufacturing Co has built five smart manufacturing plants for different home textile products, such as pillows, quilts, and mattress protectors.
Five years ago, Huishan was the first district to promote the construction of a demonstration zone for smart manufacturing in Jiangsu province. Under the latest guidance of the China National Institute of Standardization Technology in 2021, the district will update the demonstration standards for smart manufacturing innovation, highlighting the creation of "unit-level smart transformation" and "smart factory boutique projects", aiming to further promote digital economy development.
