Wuxi has invited government sectors and companies from nine countries to attend the enterprise fair starting Oct 26, according to the Wuxi foreign affairs office.

The event targets the expansion of cooperation between Wuxi and its sister cities in Belt and Road countries.

These sister cities, including Ulsan in South Korea, Lahti in Finland, 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands, Ipoh in Malaysia and Enghien-les-Bains in France, have dispatched more than 20 business missions to discuss cooperation in new energy, the electronic industry, environmental protection equipment, software, industrial design and automobiles.

These fields embody the highlights of Wuxi's industrial development planning – intelligence, greenization, servitization and high-end industries.

Wuxi especially pays attention to Southeast Asian and Eastern European countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

Wuxi and the guest cities will push exchange and cooperation in education and culture after the fair.
