Over 200 students from Taiwan's Dongtai county and Wuxi met in Wuxi Baseball Training Base on July 31 for a two-day match, reported the Wuxi Daily.
The exchange aims to improve Wuxi youths' skill and enhance mutual understanding.
In Taiwan, baseball has a long history and is the most popular sport. Wuxi has also developed the sport and has 32 baseball schools.
During this activity, Taiwanese coaches and judges also trained Wuxi's baseball teachers.
In addition to baseball games, teachers and students visited the Exchange Center of Yixing Purple Clay Teapot and Shanjuan Cave Scenery Site to learn about Chinese culture and the unique culture in Jiangnan, south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
