Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – will implement temporary traffic control measures for some roads in specific times and sections starting from Oct 13, to ensure optimal traffic flows for the 2023 Taizhou Half Marathon.
The 2023 Taizhou Half Marathon is scheduled to be held on Oct 15.
From midnight on Oct 13 to 2 pm on Oct 15 – according to the requirements of the start and end points – Haijun Road (Gulou Road-Hailing Road) will be temporarily closed and vehicles will be prohibited from passing.
On Oct 15, four roads and enclosed areas will be temporarily closed and vehicles are prohibited from passing from 5 am to noon. They will include Haijun Road (Gulou Road-Zhongshan Road), Gulou Road (Haijun Road-Huaihe Road), Hailing Road (Huanghe Road-Huaihe Road), and Huaihe Road (Gulou Road-Hailing Road).
Moreover, from the hours of 7 am to 11 am on Oct 15, the half marathon and the run routes will be blocked.
The half marathon route covers nearly 21.1 kilometers and goes through the north gate of Taizhou Sports Park, Haijun East Road, Gulou South Road – as well as Jing'an Road, Taoyuan Road, Yingchun Road, Renmin East Road, Renmin West Road, Nanyuan Road, Jing'an Road, Hailing South Road, Haijun East Road and Taizhou Sports Park.
The fun run spans about 5 km and starts at the north gate of Taizhou Sports Park, passing through Haijun East Road, Gulou South Road, Zhoushanhe Road, Hailing South Road, Haijun East Road and Taizhou Sports Park.
