The 2025 Fluorine Materials Innovation and Application Development Seminar, held for the first time on March 13-14 in Taizhou, Jiangsu province, was told that there was now strong development momentum in the city's chemicals and new material industry.
Attendees heard that the fluorine materials industry there was an important area of endeavor, with great vitality and development potential in the chemical sector.
With continuous breakthroughs in corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, insulation and more, fluorine materials have become the core materials in such fields as new energy, semiconductors and national defense.
Zhang Jianjun, honorary chairman of China Association of Fluorine and Silicone Industry, said that Taizhou boasted good manufacturing foundations and location advantages.
That was especially so with the Taixing Economic Development Zone, which ranked in the top tier of national chemicals industrial parks, as well as with Jiangsu Meilan Chemical, a leading player in the field of fluorine materials.

Faced with unprecedented development opportunities, Taizhou's fluorine materials industry is moving to seize market share.
As an example, the Taixing EDZ will step up to nurture more projects that break through technology bottlenecks, fill domestic gaps and produce products with a high technological content, high market share and high added value.
Jiangsu Meilan Chemical plans to build a first-class organic fluorine industrial park in China, with the target of achieving annual sales revenue of over 10 billion yuan ($1.36 billion).
