A functional material industry cluster based in Taixing city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently honored.
The cluster was the only one from Taixing that made it onto the list of the 2024 provincial characteristic industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs – compiled by Jiangsu’s department of industry and information technology.
The selection process aimed to help boost the level of specialization, as well as the featured and intensive development of SME clusters – thereby advancing their high-quality growth.
Based in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, the Taixing Low Carbon Olefin Extended Functional Material Industry Cluster has thrived in over 30 years of development.
To date, it has been recognized as a National New Industrialization Industry Demonstration Base, a National Circular Transformation Demonstration Pilot Park, a National Smart Chemical Pilot Demonstration Park and a National Green Chemical Park.
For 11 consecutive years, it has entered the ranks of the top 10 chemical industrial parks in China and it came in fourth in 2023.
