The Taixing Economy Development Zone – which is situated in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – recently convened a key development conference, during which it outlined its economic growth plans and targets.
The 2024 High Quality Development Conference of Taixing Economic Development Zone (Binjiang Town) took place on May 30, with the main goals of the zone for the current year being released – including the target of generating industrial invoiced sales of 126 billion yuan (17.39 million), with a hefty projected growth rate of 9.6 percent.
The zone is also striving to post foreign investment in actual use of $260 million and total imports and exports valued at $3.5 billion in 2024.
When it comes to industrial development, it's aiming to sign up 30 new projects worth over 100 million yuan each. It's also targeting breaking ground and completing over 16 and 11 projects, respectively, worth over 500 million yuan each in the current year.
Zhu Weixiang, secretary of the zone's Party working committee, told the conference that the zone should promote the future industrialization of existing sectors and future technology industrialization, as well as to create a modern industrial system with more features and advantages.
He added that the zone would strive to optimize its overall commercial ecosystem to create a more appealing innovation and entrepreneurship platform for the development of business enterprises and the settlement of new projects.
