SNF China, located in the Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – produces various forms of water-soluble polymers, with over 1,000 product types.
The company is the China regional headquarters of France's SNF Group – the major producer and industry leader of polyacrylamides in the world.
Polyacrylamides are water-soluble synthetic polymers that find applications in pulp and paper production, agriculture, food processing, mining and as a flocculant in wastewater treatment, among other things.
At present, SNF China has 35 production lines, which can annually produce 480,000 metric tons of polyacrylamides in various forms of powders, lotions and water agents.
Its products are widely used in such fields as sewage, industrial wastewater and drinking water treatments – as well as in industries including oil extraction, coal washing, metallurgy and paper-making.
Last year, SNF China generated an industrial output value and profit of 6.32 billion yuan ($867.77 million) and 840 million yuan – respective year-on-year increases of 44 percent and 172.6 percent.
