The Taixing Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – has been optimizing its approval processes for soil and water conservation plans to help projects accelerate construction.
Soil and water conservation plans are a prerequisite procedure for the construction of any new project.
"In the past, after receiving the soil and water conservation plan from a construction unit, it was necessary to review the plan and then either approve or deny it. This would take quite some time," said an administrative approval staff member of the zone.
"Since the zone began optimizing this process in 2020, approval is no longer in the form of a document, and only one form is needed to complete the approval process," the staff member added.
During the subsequent project implementation process, the zone's investment promotion department will cooperate with the municipal water bureau to conduct on-site inspections and follow-ups.
Looking ahead, the zone's investment promotion department will continue to deepen its approval reform while also enhancing its working mechanisms to create an optimized business environment.
