The agricultural product processing park in Taixing – a county-level city administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – is aiming to build a fresh food industry cluster.
Based on grain, livestock and poultry – as well as the fruit and vegetables sectors - the park is moving to establish an influential agricultural product deep processing and food processing industry base in the Yangtze River Delta region.
It also wants to accelerate the creation of a fresh food industry cluster involved in braised dishes, prefabricated dishes, noodles and fruit drinks.
Jiangsu Yuchen Flour is one of the top companies in the agricultural industrialization of the province – processing 350,000 metric tons of wheat ever year.
As a flour production and sales company, it cooperates with downstream enterprises to provide them with great products and services, said company deputy general manager Xie Pinggui.
A group of fresh food companies is gathering in the park and the fresh food industry is currently developing towards larger scale and cluster.
"Relevant support companies are complete in the park so we choose to settle there," said Yang Lei, general manager of Jiangsu Xianshi Agricultural Technology Co Ltd.
Moving forwards, the park will innovate to improve the standard of its fresh food and build full traceability system, as well as its research and development system – and its commercialization system – to add more impetus to its development.
