A planned high-precision and high-strength piston rods plant, to be located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – in Taixing, East China's Jiangsu province – recently benefited from the city's efficient approvals of its project land service.
It took only seven days for the plant to get approvals for the conversion of agricultural land to construction land and the procedures for land expropriation, about 23 days less than the scheduled time.
Operated by Jiangsu New Heyi New Materials Technology, the planned project will advance the high-end equipment manufacturing industry in the EDZ and is expected to foster the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure.
In the past, it usually took about a month to complete the approvals process, but the seven-day approvals speed gets the benefit from the beefed-up service mechanism for the integration of natural resources at the city, the county and sub-district levels and the EDZ's full cycle services.
In addition, Taixing's bureau of natural resources and planning has been actively pushing for more land for construction use.
This year, the quota for newly added construction land has increased by 4,000 mu (266.67 hectares) compared with the previous year, representing a growth rate of 38 percent.
