A technology business incubator established by the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is widely said to effectively foster the close integration of technological innovation and industrial development.
In 2016, the zone invested over 2 million yuan ($275,264) in building a 13,000-square-meter technology business incubator which featured three production workshops and a 1,000-sq m research and development center, among other things.
Subsequently, the technology business incubator was upgraded into a provincial-level facility in 2019.
By building and improving network systems and information platforms, the incubator provides comprehensive service support for resident companies.
It has also introduced preferential policies such as rent reductions and tax incentives to help startups better integrate into the industry supply chain in their early stages of entrepreneurship.
At present, the technology business incubator is home to 44 science and technology innovation enterprises covering multiple fields including standard e-commerce, social e-commerce and internet technology.
In response to the rapid development needs of the e-commerce industry, the zone has established an e-commerce industry park in the technology business incubator with an occupancy rate of 90 percent to date.
