The construction of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway, which will erect a railway station in Huangqiao town – in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has made further progress.
At the bridge construction site of the planned Huangqiao railway station, installation and preloading of the support bracket for the east beam recently got underway.
The contractors will next construct and install the beam, which is projected to be completed by the end of the year.
Situated in Yewu village in Huangqiao town, the station will have two platforms, two arrival-departure tracks and two running tracks.
The length of the Taixing section of the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu high-speed railway is about 28.5 kilometers.
When operating, the travel time from Taixing to East China's Shanghai will be shortened to about one hour, while the travel time from Taixing to Nanjing in Jiangsu province will also be shortened to within the hour.
