The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – excelled last year at attracting fresh projects and investments.
It signed up 41 new projects at the Taizhou level last year, with 14 worth over 1 billion yuan ($139.29 million) each and 12 worth over 500 million yuan each.
Overall, the zone's newly signed projects in 2023 received a combined investment of 13 billion yuan.
The EDZ has broadened its information channels to expand its recruitment of projects. It's carried out on-site investment marketing drives in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou and other places – resulting in the successful signing of a batch of high-quality projects.
In particular, great efforts have been made by the zone to expand its health industry, resulting in a raft of new projects in the field.
Moreover, last year the zone continued to boost communications on events with the Jiangyin High-tech Industrial Development Zone – located in nearby Jiangyin city in Jiangsu – and Shanghai Jinqiao (Group) Co Ltd.
A conference celebrating the 10th anniversary of links between the Jiangyin High-tech Industrial Development Zone and the Taixing Huangqiao EDZ was held in Jiangyin city on Sept 21, paving the way for the signing of 17 projects.
