The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province, was recently approved as a water-saving industrial park in the province.
Jiangsu is now home to 12 provincial-level water-saving industrial parks, and the Taixing Huangqiao EDZ is the first in Taizhou to receive this recognition.
The zone has released water-saving guidelines and established a supervision platform to oversee the water intake and water-saving management of resident enterprises.
In addition, the zone has implemented multiple water-saving projects and has obtained a raft of related patents. Jiangsu Ninesky Optoelectronics Technology Co Ltd in the zone was rated as a leading company regarding water use efficiency in Taizhou.
A park based on the theme of water conservation has also been established there to guide the public on how to enhance their awareness of saving water, cherish water resources, and protect the local water environment.
