The five-day Third National Advanced Training Course on Frontier Technologies in Biomanufacturing and Future Food recently concluded with a graduation ceremony at the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, Jiangsu province, on Oct 28.
During the training period, five bio-fermentation and future food project contracts were signed to settle in the zone, including a biomimetic gastrointestinal reactor project and a special medical project.
Yu Xuejun, chairman of the China Biotech Fermentation Industry Association, told the attendees of the graduation ceremony that bio-fermentation and future food are emerging industries, with the bio-fermentation industry serving as the core support for the bio-economy.
He also invited more talented people to promote the further development of a "Bio-fermentation and Future Food City", which was officially inaugurated in the zone in June last year.
