An opening ceremony for the Third National Advanced Training Course on Frontier Technologies in Biomanufacturing and Future Food took place on Oct 25 in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – in Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province.
The training course is being co-organized by the China Biotech Fermentation Industry Association, the China Association for Continuing Engineering Education and Jiangnan University. It aims to improve the comprehensive ability and quality of professional talent engaged in the bio-fermentation and the future food industries.
Zhang Kun, secretary of the Taixing municipal Party committee, said that the bio-fermentation and the future food industry are the leading industries that the zone is striving to develop – as well as a main direction for Taixing to take to accelerate its transformation and upgrading.
The training will focus on such topics as the economic operation of the bio-fermentation industry, international market development trends and competition analysis, and intelligent revolution of the future food industry, among others.
By holding the national advanced training courses, the zone has trained about 400 senior professional and technical personnel, said Wang Jie, vice chairman of the China Biotech Fermentation Industry Association.
