The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city – administered by Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – successfully went on the hunt for fresh projects at the 2023 Taixing (Shanghai) Investment Promotion Conference in East China's Shanghai city on Aug 11.
The zone signed up a high resistance electric heating alloy materials and new energy intelligent equipment manufacturing plant, to cost over 2 billion yuan ($273.75 million).
What's more, the zone also signed up a biological special medical food production project to be co-developed by it and the East China University of Science and Technology. It will specialize in developing nutrient substrates, such as prebiotics and bioactive peptides, for formula foods of special medical use.
In all, Taixing city signed 22 industrial projects and six talent cooperation projects at the event, with a total investment of 22.47 billion yuan.
The city has focused on promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta that is being led by Shanghai, speakers told the conference.
