The construction of a precision parts factory for new energy equipment – located in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is moving into high gear and the facility is expected to begin trial production next month.
The plant, operated by Jiangsu Shenyi Science and Technology Manufacturing Co Ltd, will cost 1.22 billion yuan ($177.24 million) and it occupies a site covering 100 mu (6.67 hectares). Installation and commissioning of the equipment will be carried out in early April and everything will be completed in October.
At full capacity, the factory is projected to produce 100,000 metric tons of precision parts for new energy equipment annually.
The project has already set records in the zone – including conducting its agreement signing in 30 days, concluding overall administrative procedures in three months and completing the main building construction in six months.
Major projects costing 1 billion yuan each are seen as the driving force for economic development in the region. Last year, 13 projects costing 1 billion yuan apiece started construction in Taixing, with a planned total investment of 19.95 billion yuan.
