Taizhou Port's new master plan – taking the key logistics facility in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province to the year 2035 – was recently approved by the Jiangsu government.
Taizhou Port is located on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and at the T-shaped intersection of China's coastal economic belt and the Yangtze River economic belt.
Under the blueprint, the port will reduce the coastline under its jurisdiction by 10 kilometers and upgrade its existing resources.
The plan envisages high-quality port projects with a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan ($4.22 billion) being added to the Yangtze River region in the near future.
This is deemed as being of great significance in fostering the structural adjustment and upgrading of Taizhou Port, expanding its comprehensive logistics service functions and enhancing the level of smart, green and safe development.
