The area's premier inland container hub and industrial gateway, Jiangyan Port is situated on Keji Avenue in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou, the city in East China's Jiangsu province that is situated on the north banks of the Yangtze River.
As such, it benefits from excellent transportation links, with Yanjing Highway to the east, Taizhen Highway to the west and Qiyang Highway to the north.
As Taizhou's first inland container port, it features one of the city's few extensive inland river channels.
