A series of 207 recruitment fairs and events were carried out recently in the prefecture-level city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – to provide employment and entrepreneurship services to the locals.
The activities were started from the Spring Festival and will continue until the end of March – both on-site and online.
On Jan 29, various Taizhou districts, counties and county-level cities it administers held recruitment fairs.
Jingjiang city launched its first jobs fair for college graduates on Jan 29, with 90 enterprises offering over 3,900 positions. Statistics showed that over 4,000 jobseekers participated and over 1,200 reached preliminary employment agreements.
The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone held a jobs fair in the Rainbow shopping mall on the day, attracting estimated 8,000 job seekers. A total of 103 leading businesses participated and offered 25,300 positions.
Taixing city held an online jobs fair through live streaming on Jan 29, attracting the participation of more than 30,000 people. It is understood Taixing held 13 jobs fairs or service activities in total during the Spring Festival.
A total of 144 enterprises participated in a jobs fair in Jiangyan district on Jan 29, offering 7,000 positions and over 2,800 jobseekers got preliminary job offers.
On Jan 27, Xinghua started its first recruitment fair during the Spring Festival. An estimated 50 local renowned enterprises came and offered over 2,000 positions.
Elsewhere, Hailing district held a recruitment activity recently, including a jobs fair. The recruitment zone there offered more than 1,500 jobs.
