Taicang, XJTLU discuss further cooperation
On July 23, a meeting was held in Taicang, Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province to advance collaboration between the city and Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).

Xi Youmin, executive principal of XJTLU, said that the university's Taicang campus is strengthening partnerships with domestic and foreign universities and collaborating with local innovation parks to promote industry-academia-research integration, supporting the high-quality development of Taicang.
Wang Xiangyuan, Party secretary of Taicang, elaborated on the recent development of the city and expressed hope that XJTLU's Taicang campus will attract more young innovators and entrepreneurs to the city.
Xu Huadong, mayor of Taicang, promised that the local government would fully support the XJTLU's Taicang campus in its next moves.
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University's Taicang campus opened in September 2022. By September 2024, the total number of students is expected to exceed 2,500, with more than 300 faculty and staff. The campus is expected to be home to over 5,000 students by 2026.
