Beumer Group, a German company which registered in Taicang, Suzhou earlier this month, was honored with a commemorative plaque at the headquarters of the group in Beckum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany on Jan 22.

Beumer Group is planning to establish two entities in the Taicang High-Tech Zone, with a specific focus on the production and research of logistics-related equipment and systems. This investment makes the group the 500th German company operating in Taicang.

Wang Xiangyuan, secretary of the CPC Taicang Municipal Committee, welcomed Beumer's investment in Taicang during his speech at the ceremony. He said that Beumer is an internationally-leading manufacturer of internal logistics systems, and its products have wide-ranging applications, aligning well with Taicang's 100-billion-level logistics and trade industry.

He further highlighted Taicang's commitment to promoting exchanges and cooperation worldwide. In particular, its dedication to Sino-German collaboration over the past three decades has made Taicang one of the regions in China with the highest concentration of German businesses, he said.

Rudolf Hausladen, chief executive officer of the group, expressed his appreciation for Taicang's investment environment, citing its strong manufacturing foundation and excellent atmosphere for Sino-German cooperation.

Beumer Group decided to continue expanding its business in China by choosing Taicang, Hausladen said, adding that he hopes for fruitful collaboration and high-quality development achievements in the city in the future.

Founded in 1935, Beumer Group currently has subsidiaries, production bases, and offices in more than 70 countries. The large logistics conveying equipment produced by the group, such as bucket elevators, tape conveyors, and chain conveyors, is globally renowned and utilized in airports and logistics conveyance enterprises in over 70 countries.
