Official Moldovan delegation visits Taicang

A delegation from Moldova, headed by its parliamentary president, Igor Corman, paid a visit to the city of Taicang in Jiangsu province on May 20.

Wang Jianfeng, Party secretary of Taicang, briefed the delegation on the city. He said that Taicang has attracted more than 600 enterprises from European countries to set up branches in the city, including over 220 from Germany. He added that Moldova could also enjoy a sound investment environment in the city.

Meanwhile, Igor Corman encouraged Taicang-based enterprises to visit and invest in Moldova.

During the two-day trip, the delegation visited the urban planning exhibition hall, Yangtze River estuary tourism resort, the free bonded zone and Taicang port. Afterwards, the two sides signed a memorandum on wine trade cooperation.

Moldova is a country in Eastern Europe that borders Ukraine and Romania and is famous for its wine industry.
