Recently, experts from Nanjing Agricultural University investigated Shaxi town in regards to the planned construction of a demonstration area for modern crop production.

During the investigation, experts learned basic information about Shaxi town, including its agricultural development strategy, its infrastructure, important projects and environmental protection. The experts also investigated the agricultural park, important projects from agricultural enterprises, main roads and the water system.

Taicang is planning to build a demonstration area for modern crop production situated in the middle of the city and covering 3 hectares. The high-quality demonstration area will be carbon efficient and ecologically friendly. Its leading industry will be high-quality crop production. It will work towards enriching the people. It will be built into the first demonstration area for Jiangsu’s rice cultivation featuring standardized facilities, mechanized operation, informationized management and branded marketing.
