In Shanghai's Jiading district, Juyuan New Area has been driving independent innovation and boosting the development of the technology service industry, with the intellectual property value chain at its core.
As a hub for technological innovation, the area is home to five national research institutes, over 2,000 tech firms, and over 1,000 tech service companies.
Juyuan New Area's comprehensive IP services help businesses turn their innovations into patents, marketable products, and commercial successes.
To support tech firms, Juyuan introduced special innovation vouchers in 2020, benefiting companies in areas like patent navigation and evaluation. A beneficiary surnamed Xia highlighted the vouchers' crucial role in aiding small companies like hers in boosting their innovation. With strict oversight, the vouchers allow companies to access services and money support from the "Entrepreneurship+" alliance to foster patent transformation.
Juyuan New Area has also established an IP service platform. Under its support, companies like Shanghai Daheng Optical Precision Machinery have successfully patented technologies, enhancing their research and commercialization efforts. The platform helps optimize resource allocation, mitigate infringement risks, and expedite result implementation.
The Rights Protection Assistance Station in Juyuan New Area ensures a shield for innovative achievements. Part of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Protection Center, it offers public services and themed lectures on patent law and protection. In patent disputes, the station provides legal assistance, helping companies defend their IP rights effectively.
