The Jiading Industrial Zone Healthcare Industry Summit and United Imaging Town Development Promotion Conference held on Nov 21 unveiled a future vision for United Imaging Town.
Located in Shanghai's Jiading Industrial Zone in Jiading district, United Imaging Town is home to the headquarters of United Imaging Group, a leading supplier of medical imaging and radiation therapy equipment. The town aims to become an international high-end medical equipment industry cluster, integrating research and development, production, living, and services.
Jiading District Party Secretary Lu Fangzhou highlighted the district's commitment to healthcare as a key economic driver, mentioning the strategic layout and support for over 1,300 biomedical companies. Policies fostering innovation and a conducive ecosystem integrating medical and engineering fields were also emphasized.
District Governor Gao Xiang presented United Imaging Group Chairman Xue Min with a "Golden Key", symbolizing his role as honorary governor of United Imaging Town. Xue discussed the company's growth and commitment to developing the town into a global hub for high-end medical equipment.
United Imaging Town is set to span 9.5 square kilometers, featuring high-end medical equipment clusters and quality urban living services. The development plan includes a central leading area, industrial clusters, talent communities, and future industrial expansion.
Li Chao, secretary of the Jiading Industrial Zone Party Working Committee, outlined the vision for the town, which includes integrating six sub-industrial chains and developing high-quality residential communities. Public services will feature a 12-year integrated school and a health management center.
The event also announced the establishment of the Jiading District Healthcare Industry Chain Alliance, aiming to integrate resources from government, industry, academia, research, and healthcare. Agreements for 16 key healthcare industry projects in Jiading Industrial Zone were signed, marking significant progress in the district's biomedical industry development.
