The three-day seventh Scientific Technology Fair for the Yangtze River Delta Region wrapped up on Nov 15, highlighting the latest advancements in technology and innovation from the region.
Utilizing its "3+365" year-round service mechanism, the fair maintained connections with various technology service institutions throughout the year, culminating in a total transaction value of 5.1 billion yuan ($704.11 million) in technology transfers.
The event attracted nearly 200 in-person exhibitors, including universities, research institutes, tech companies, and service organizations from the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, along with over 300 companies participating online.
Showcasing nearly 300 pioneering technological achievements across key industries such as future health, intelligence, energy, space, and materials, the fair featured highlights like humanoid robots, new energy vehicle power banks, and innovative furniture designs.
"The annual fair provides a broad stage for showcasing our innovation and entrepreneurship achievements," said Sun Wenli, founder of the Xiaolin International Innovation and Incubation Center.
The event also facilitated deeper exploration of collaborative innovation with other cities in the region. Wei Libin, director at the Taicang Productivity Promotion Center, emphasized the importance of the fair in fostering regional collaboration and technological progress.
Throughout the fair, experts from research institutes, universities, and companies engaged in productive discussions on future technologies. Forums and conferences covered topics such as green energy development and automotive chip innovation.
Shanghai's Jiading district, the host of the annual fair, is committed to leveraging its strong tradition of technological innovation to develop the Yangtze River Delta Scientific Technology Fair into a comprehensive service platform, driving technological and industrial development nationwide.
