The 2024 Anting Day and the Sino-German Industry Incubator Center's launch ceremony recently took place in Munich, Germany, inviting German businesses to invest in Shanghai's Jiading district and the district's auto hub Anting town.
The event aimed to expand Jiading's network in automotive innovation and intelligent manufacturing, highlighting the strong partnership between China and Germany in the automotive industry and the potential for further collaboration in cutting-edge fields. This event attracted over 90 representatives from institutions like the German Association of the Automotive Industry, as well as well-known German enterprises such as Volkswagen Group, Bosch, and Schaeffler Group.
In her speech at the event, Gao Xiang, deputy Party secretary and director of the district, highlighted Jiading's strengths in the automotive industry, as well as its role as a top investment destination for auto companies looking to invest in China. She said that Jiading is seizing the wave of transformation in the automotive industry towards electrification, connectivity, intelligence, and sharing, and that the district is striving to create a world-class automotive industry hub and a global smart connected vehicle innovation hub.
Guo Fang from the Chinese Consulate-General in Munich emphasized the deep cooperation between China and Germany in the automotive industry, inviting more German enterprises and entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Jiading.
During the event, Jiading's Sino-German Industry Incubator Center was officially launched in Germany. Through the center, Jiading aims to introduce high-end foreign-funded projects and internationally advanced technologies. It will also strive to strengthen cooperation with Germany in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent manufacturing and new energy vehicles in order to stimulate market vitality and innovation potential.
In addition, the 2024 Anting Day saw the signing of eight projects to be introduced to Anting town soon.
