In a significant effort to advance Jiading district's internationalization strategy, Lu Fangzhou, Party secretary of Jiading district, led a delegation on an eight-day investment promotion tour to Japan and South Korea from June 11 to 18. This initiative aligns with Jiading's commitment to high-level openness and high-quality development.

In Tokyo, Japan, the delegation inaugurated Jiading's first overseas investment promotion liaison office, marking a major step in enhancing economic exchanges and cooperation between Japan and China. Lu emphasized that the office will provide comprehensive services to Japanese companies investing in Jiading, striving to foster deeper industrial, technological, and cultural collaborations.
The delegation also visited several renowned Japanese companies. These meetings focused on industrial cooperation, technological exchanges, and project investments. A strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Jiading Supply and Marketing Cooperative and Packer Co Ltd, which has already begun construction on a new R&D center in Jiading.
During a visit to Yaskawa Electric Corporation, Lu highlighted China's burgeoning artificial intelligence sector and expressed Jiading's readiness to support Yaskawa's development in intelligent robotics.

In South Korea, the delegation met with representatives from Amorepacific Corporation and the Yongsan district government in Seoul. An agreement was signed with Amorepacific to introduce new brands to the Chinese market, furthering existing collaborations. The delegation also met with Park Hee-young, head of Yongsan district, to discuss ways to enhance interactions between the residents of Jiading and Yongsan, as well as plans to expand the scope of their cooperation.
This tour not only promoted Jiading's industrial cooperation advantages and investment environment but also strengthened its open cooperation with Japan and South Korea. By attracting leading enterprises and quality projects, Jiading aims to become a new hub for Sino-Japanese and Sino-Korean economic collaboration, laying a solid foundation for the district's industrial development and international cooperation.
In 2024, Jiading district is actively advancing its internationalization strategy, connecting with more global resources and markets. The district has implemented a series of foreign investment promotion plans and overseas investment schemes, aiming to attract more foreign investment and deepen its international cooperation network, thus shaping a new pattern of open economic development.
