Lin Kaiwen, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and an entrepreneur in Shanghai's Jiading district, prepared two proposals for this year's Two Sessions.

The proposals focus on the international expansion of private enterprises and the improvement of residential water supply quality, respectively. His proposals aim to enhance the international functions of industry associations to support enterprises in going global, as well as to promote a high-quality water supply model for residential areas.

"As a CPPCC member representing the industrial and commercial sectors, I am actively offering suggestions for the development of China's economy, especially the private sector," said Lin, who is chairman of Shanghai Kaiquan Pump (Group) Co Ltd, vice-chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, as well as chairman of the Jiading District Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Last year, Lin submitted three proposals aimed at addressing issues related to the business environment and the development of private enterprises. He said that they received significant attention from the CPPCC leadership, leading to constructive discussions and the implementation of solutions.

"I hope that through this year's Two Sessions, I can further understand the trends, policies, and measures that will help enhance the development of China's private economy," said Lin. He added that he plans to share the insights he gained with private enterprises in Jiading, and that he will provide policy interpretation and guidance to bolster entrepreneur confidence.
